Used? Then look for an EOS M200, EOS M50, Sony A6000 or EOS 70D.

What do you want, or what do you want to do with it? 400 EUR is not enough for an entry camera.

Here I’d look around for a used camera. I can recommend the page mpb.com.

For holiday photos, a mirror-reflection camera is totally overlaid, especially since the operation off the automatic mode (which does not make any better pictures than a good phone) is not quite easy.

I recommend a bridge camera. They are also cheaper. Specifically, I recommend the Panasonic cameras

Open: buy a good smartphone for the money. Decided cameras need a lot more about the photographer and the post-processing. There’s not just a picture coming out as you’re used to.

“Photos on holiday” is too inaccurate.

Compact for the bag? Mirror reflex/mirrorless with interchangeable lens? What are you doing?

That’s definitely not a “press = good photo” cameras. So effect of shutter, shutter time, iso? you only have LiveView on request, otherwise you look through a viewfinder, exposure scale will show you exposure, etc… I don’t know if you’ve been busy with the challenges and requirements. You can’t compare it with phone pictures. Also not with photographing with compact cameras over a screen and scene programs… Even though many models also have scene programs…

At least you get used in the price segment with standard lens. Depending on the motifs, you are restricted with an objective… Missing wide angle, or too little tele, because the focal lengths no longer produce… Because only with the camera and an objective is it not done… You should consider everything.
