Hello, I (13) would love to keep chickens in our garden. I've always thought they were cute and interesting 😍 (I also love eggs 🥚🥚). I casually asked if we could get chickens, but my mom just laughed 🙄. We have enough space in the garden and are financially sound, and when we go on vacation, there's someone who could look after them. Can anyone help me convince my parents to let me get chickens?

Make a reasonable plan. What do you want to pay for the food, the veterinarian, the stable and the runout? How do you get to the vet with the chickens? What happens when the bird flu comes back? How do you protect them from fox and marten? How do you circumcise the feathers that they’re not flying away? When do you want to feed and clean?
If you have a reasonable answer everywhere, your parents will be able to talk to you.
