Registered mail is not a reliable proof?

Hello everyone,

I am currently thinking about a secure proof of delivery.

Recently, I sent a letter by registered mail, feeling that this would provide reliable proof that deadlines had been met.

It has been noticed that registered mail only provides proof of receipt.

The opposing party could therefore claim that the registered letter had indeed arrived, but that it had no content or that it had a different content.

What is the best way to solve this problem?

Does anyone know of alternatives for a secure proof of delivery? (Delivery by bailiff is only worthwhile in very expensive cases).

Warmest regards

That’s correct. A enrollment does not know the content but only the access. One possibility is also the throw-in by means of a messenger or the throw-in under witnesses. Here you can first show the content of the letter to the witness or witnesses and then submit it together with this. But the question is also how a court would consider these witnesses to be credible in the dispute. If there are relatives, then it can quickly be said that they testify due to suitability, and then there would still be the possibility to issue an insurance to Eidesstatt.

Why is the delivery by the courtmate only worth very expensive matters? The €22.50 is worth it for me in things where I need proof of delivery.
