An API for sorting HTML tables?

Hi dear community,

I'm currently testing my own modules for interpreting an API for Mozilla Firefox. My goal is to develop my own API that would allow sorting tables written in HTML5 using JavaScript, providing a native way to do this. Currently, various frameworks and some libraries offer the possibility of implementing something like this.
My question to you: would an API in JavaScript be interesting for sorting tables, regardless of the browser used?

If you create tables that you want to sort you create the same dynamic
