On the socket of my recessed spotlight it says
230V.
The question is whether I can connect the spotlights directly to the power circuit or whether I still need a transformer?

Der Sockel ist für GU10 Hochvoltleuchtmittel.
Also schließt du ihn ganz normal an die Netzspannung an.
Es gibt auch GU10 12V Leuchtmittel.
Das ist natürlich ungünstig. 😉
Ich hatte es bisher persönlich nur mit Hochvolt-GU10 zu tun. Bisher fand ich das System der unterschiedlichen Stecksockel bei Leuchtmitteln zwar nervig aber sinnvoll, um Probleme mit falschen Spannungen zu vermeiden. Da lag ich dann wohl falsch: es ist nur nervig. 🙂
Hier braucht es kein Trafo die kommen als normale Netz.

GU10 Fassung ist meines wissens immer 230V

Was sollte der Trafo denn machen? Die Netzspannung mit 230V 1:1 zu 230V umwandeln? Ist recht sinnlos oder? 🙂

Klar, man wandelt extra die Spannung von 230V auf 12V um, damit man dann Leuchtmittel einsetzen kann, die 10 mal teurer sind, als normale 230V-Lampen…
