Write your own book?
Hello I have a question
I'm 14 and have lots of ideas. I love to write and would love to write my own book. How do I get it sold? How do I do that or what do I have to do?
I look forward to every answer
Hello, I have a question as I've just started the course system and I'm not sure how to handle it. My English teacher made us write a text in the last 10 minutes of last lesson which was supposed to consist of 3 paragraphs and be one page long (in English of course). I assumed…
Hello everyone, Just a general question. For those of you who went abroad after graduation… What did you do, what opportunities did you have, and what problems did you encounter? What did you imagine differently? Lg
I want to write a story about fire and ice and I need names: Girl, about 16 years old, cold, fighter, loyal; like ice Boy, about 17 years old, protective instinct, friendly, honest; like fire I hope you can help me
I'm starting an apprenticeship as a pharmaceutical commercial assistant in September, which will require a high school diploma. Is there anything I should keep in mind, or does anyone have any tips to help me avoid getting stuck?
Lately I've been seeing a lot of videos of mothers on Tiktok, for example, but I also see a lot of them out there in general and when you ask them how old their child is they never say anything like "half a year", "one year", "two years" etc. Instead they always answer with "12…
This takes a very long time but I would recommend you wattpad. You can upload and get feedback if you wish.
There are guidebooks and recommendations books for people who are new and do not know each other 🙂
This is a long, hard way. Of 1000 manuscripts sent in, a publisher publishes only one.
But writing is fun and makes that would be a personal profit for you. Read specialist books how to make it, read generally much to expand your language treasure and see how authors work. Visit courses, workshops and a writing school in creative writing. It won’t go without it. There you learn how to create figures, build an action line, generate tension, concrete through inter-pointion, find ideas, etc.
Have fun and success!
That is still euphemistic. Unfortunately, today’s publishing practice provides that unrequested manuscripts land unreaded in the garbage bucket. If you’re not asked, you have no chance at all. Unfortunately, if young drivers do not have corresponding connections or references, the quality can still be so high.
I had looked out about 30 publishers for my manuscript, whether it fits into the segment, and let it be exhibited and sampled according to the respective specifications. At about a dozen there was a longer employment with my novel, some went through to the publishing conference and finally I had a writer’s contract.
So you mean that the unconnected nonsense of the child of a publisher’s owner or that of the child of a bestseller is printed rather than a story that has the potential to a bestseller, but comes from a person who does not know the publisher.
“You have written connections to the publishing house and that has the owner’s child, unlike others, even though they may be better”
No, I didn’t. I wrote the opposite. The connections don’t use anything if the writing doesn’t work
I like to write in hyperbels and a clingy nonsense is just the total opposite of a good story. I know that a publisher would never print anything like that even if it was from his own child.
You have been writing from Connections to the publishing house and that has the owner’s child, unlike others, even though they may be better.
I don’t think it’s a publisher. It is carefully examined to what extent a book could sell and then weighed whether it is printed. The reader is almost no matter who wrote it. The only advantage of the name is if you have already published several books. Then the name is often in the foreground and not always the quality of the written. But after several mistakes, the readers will also turn away.
You just write the book first. After that, you can have it binding on the internet via various providers. For example, at epubli, I’ve done it before, but of course it costs money.
Not at all, it won’t sell.
lg and much joy in writing
up
*Not good, it won’t sell*
As if. I also have to publish my books correctly and nowadays you can try it. At some point, it might be possible to sell if it is good and has been marketed
Yes. 😅
But you could have expressed it a little softer, for example you could have written “improbably” instead of “not even”. Then the questioner would know that he has no answer at all, but would perhaps give him some hope.
I always get thoughts like, “I don’t need to try it” or “I don’t need to try it and do it well.”
Sorry, but that’s what it looks like to me. Can I do something?!
I’m not unfriendly. I only know myself with publishers and I’m realistic. But as I said, let’s keep talking as soon as your works are on the market and are sold out. lg up
Oh, man, don’t be so unfriendly. And to your comments, I know some who have managed to publish books themselves
Yes, let me know if you offered books to a publisher and published them. Then we would like to talk about the subject.
What?
There are sooo lots of paper waste in this world – hardly to believe when you run through such a store.
You write a manuscript .. The standard page: Manuscript professional format! – Institute for Creative Writing & Authors Center (kreativ-schreib-lernen.de)
If you’re done, you have to find a publisher or move it yourself – small offset
They probably also take care of the “Lektorat” Lektorat – Wikipedia
And in the end, one tries to get the work into the trade (which, however, without discussion, without big publishers, without known names etc.) should be difficult because there are paper mountains and good books rarely.
With 14 you have the ideas for good stories, but not the skills to write them so that others want to read them. It sounds hard for you, but you can try it out without crashing at a publisher.
Write your stories on Wattpad and ask people here on GF as they like. If you ask the people on Wattpad, they’ll just put honey around you. The critiques there are completely worthless, because everyone here only comments so kindly, because you should read their scrap. So people ask GF what they think of your works. They’re telling you the truth because they don’t have any ambitions on Wattpad.
After you pick up enough backpipes, you’ll realize I’m right. You shouldn’t be discouraged. Just write your stories and publish them on Wattpad. Find friends who tell you the truth and give you advice and action. Keep developing, learn to do this and if you have learned enough, you can think about taking money in your hand and trying to inspire the world.
First write.
It will not be easy to sell, the book must be printed and that will be expensive. A publisher will hardly print a book that comes from an unknown author. But – just start, everything else will show.
