Eheim aquaball or biopower?

Hello, I'd like to buy a new internal filter for my 112-liter aquarium because the old one is still loud, despite being cleaned, and doesn't work properly anymore. I'm just wondering whether I should buy the BioPower or the Aquaball, since both are in the same price range.

Aquaball has the disadvantage that it is a pure sponge filter. Its advantage is that several sponges are flowed through in parallel, resulting in a relatively low flow rate of the sponges for an internal filter and a service life which can be used for an internal filter.

Biopower has only one sponge that has been degraded to the prefilter. The other sponges were replaced by pots for highly porous biofilter media. This has the advantage that a more stable biological filtering is achieved. The serious disadvantage is that only a single sponge is sucked in, which is correspondingly fast sealed.

The best way to buy the smallest biopower (with a biomedienpot) and to buy the Eheim prefilter. The sponge baskets from the pre-filter fit the Aquaball and the Biopower. Thus, as far as the height of the basin permits, one can increase the number of sponges.

I had logically described the disadvantage of an inne filter, so you did not discuss it. Unfortunately, I cannot give any tips to such inne filters because, as mentioned, they always stand in the water and cannot bring any air generated by the filter. I never had such filters, I don’t think of it.

I don’t know the Aquaball, but I had two of the BioPower in operation and they worked perfectly. In my opinion, a top internal filter
