It’s rude. But it happens with both sexes. Would the person take aside and tell her. Often they don’t remember it themselves.

You should not ask the question gender-specific, but gender-neutral. There are just as many shady men who talk too much, interrupt their wives and stop talking. There are men who believe to know everything better than their wives.

The right question is how people (men and women) should react if they have such a partner.
