Canine tooth shifts after removing braces?

So, my braces were removed, and I was given a small, transparent night guard to wear at night to keep my teeth from shifting. Before, I had this really prominent vampire tooth, and now it's more or less where it's supposed to be. But today I noticed that you can kind of see that it used to be positioned differently.

Can this tooth simply slowly return to its original position, or is that unlikely (treatment took almost two years)? What can I do to prevent this?

Hello Seangutmann,

the container rail holds the final result achieved. If you can use it without pressure, the final result is still unchanged.

In the event that you would have wished for another result, you should have discussed this before (!). Now the brace is out and the result stands.

I think you’ll figure it out. You look at your teeth more closely than anyone else. I’m also sure the pine orthopaedic took the best out. Bringing out a vampire tooth is not the biggest problem for a pine orthopedic – it takes a little.

If you’re unsure, let’s see your prints. You will surely see that there are insane differences and the teeth are very good/perfect at the final impression.

Good luck!

If something presses on the tooth, which comes up to what makes room (e.g. wisdom teeth), it can be that your teeth move again despite the brace.

What does the treating dentist say?

Unfortunately, only in February did the next check date.
But if a wisdom tooth was pressed against the teeth, would you feel that?

I guess so. My people were pushed out because it was clear that they had to get out (they’re too small), so I don’t have any personal experiences to what extent you get from potential shifts.

Wear the rail as agreed and just ask the doctor at the next appointment. If you have any complaints beforehand, contact the doctor before:)

Is the rail still complete? If so, then it’s actually in place. Wear them every night.

Yes, it still fits, but I’m afraid I’m doing something wrong because I like my new teeth very much…

You can’t do that. Every day wear and go to the orthodontic orthodontics in case of problems.
