EC card didn't work, embarrassing?
Omg, this is so uncomfortable! I was just in a knick-knack store I frequent, and I've had my new debit card since yesterday. I went to the checkout and wanted to pay the amount (€15) with my card, but it didn't work, and I didn't have any cash on me.
I said I'll come back later but I feel so uncomfortable. Should I go back later and buy the stuff or should I just leave it and never shop there again?
That’s what happens. You’re not the first and certainly not the last person that happened. Go back, buy the stuff and forget the incident. You can’t be embarrassed.
It’s not embarrassing, it’s coming.
I also pay everything with card, but I always have enough cash in case of emergency.
This happens – but I understand your fear absolutely.
Take a look at big shopping, especially at the supermarket, always before an online banking. But if the card just doesn’t go because they don’t accept it, then I don’t care – isn’t my mistake that they don’t take ECol
Oh yes – if they put this aside to you, I would just go back and pay it again in cash.
It won’t be that bad. But I feel that I should also overcome something
I’m always happy if my EC card doesn’t go but stays with me, then I don’t have to look for it.
Under two hundred €uros, I always pay in cash.
Experiences pretty much everyone at any cash daily.
To prevent this, you’ll always pay cash. A look into the wallet is enough for you to get the certainty of getting into no embarrassing situation.
You don’t have to be embarrassed. You’re not the first person to do this. I’d go back!
Thank you.
And then what should I say? They put the stuff on my side.
You put something for me, I’d like to pick it up!
This has happened to a lot, not worse.
