eBay: US seller hasn't delivered yet. Why?

Hello,

I bought something on eBay for which I had spent a considerable amount of money. The seller is based in the US, and when I asked why he hadn't delivered despite having already paid for everything, he claimed that international shipping was difficult due to Covid-19. He claimed to be trying to deliver by the end of November, but couldn't promise anything.

Hence my question:

Does anyone know anything about this? I don't know anything about it, and theoretically, you could tell me everything.

How does this actually work, or what am I possibly overlooking here?

How should I behave here if in doubt?

I would be very grateful for clarification.

PS:

Please no spiteful or frustrated answers. This is a serious question, and I need advice and information. Thanks for your competent help. 🙂

It doesn’t mean buying something from distant countries – apart from the tiny theme of ecology. This is how world trade works.

As with the seller who has only 100 km away from you, you can ask for proof in the form of a tracking number. This means that the transport problem would no longer be its direct responsibility, but it would have first fulfilled this part of the purchase agreement. If the part he would have to stand for it, but at least he would not have committed any fraud.

Packages run as usual, something is wrong.

I guess he sacked the money, and you get nix delivered, great fun if you want to sue in the states.

In the new payment processing, you don’t pay to the seller anymore, but to eBay, and that’s where you’ve got each Buyer protection.

Click: New payment processing on eBay

If you do not receive an article or if the item received does not correspond to the description, your seller is your first contact person.

And if the seller shouldn’t steer, then you can open a buyer protection case via eBay:

Click: eBay – Report problem with a seller

Like eBay decides in such a case, no one knows the choices should be quite buyer-friendly.

PS:

Please do not mix or frustrated answers. The question is serious and I depend on advice and information.

And you could have saved that.

When did you buy? Remember that the Christmas madness is now or starts. Companies make extremely many packages in the shipping and the shipping companies suffocate in shipments.

He’s going to process orders before you.

If he sent off, call the number. Make him feel a little pressure in which you say that if he doesn’t leave within a week you open a Paypalfall.
