eBay?
Hello,
I saw an offer on eBay today – Sony PS5 Blu-Ray Edition original packaging.
The bid is 291.00 euros
The detailed description states that this is only the original packaging. I'm just curious if the highest bidder can request a refund after receiving the item. I mean, if the bidders don't read the description, then the purchase is legally acceptable. What I don't understand is why the seller doesn't clarify this.
The seller will have problems:

However, if you buy based on the reviews:

is somehow to blame.
What's more, this fraudulent seller creates false impressions with a starting price of EUR 29.00:

I won't report anything. I'd rather have civil lawsuits and claims be filed.
If he had written above
>Selling Playstation 5 console in original packaging<
Then at least that would have been obvious.
I meant >Selling Playstation 5 empty box< That would have been correct.
No.
He can open a buyer protection case , which eBay will then decide on .
And then it depends on the category in which the retailer has placed the packaging.
That's what he does:
And a Biter should be able to read.
The seller has categorized the item as Playstation 5 packaging and Playstation 5. Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that some people don't read the item description.
But that is their problem.
Oh well ,
You should read more than just the first small section of a product description…
Since many (but not all) people are becoming increasingly lazy and also increasingly inattentive, it is one's own fault if one is ultimately too lazy to read only the first of 2-3 short sentences, or perhaps not even the first one…
Too bad you didn't include the link. But I found the offer:

The headline is ambiguous because it's misleading due to the words simply strung together. It should have been either "Sony PS5 Blu-Ray Edition with/in the original packaging " or "Original packaging for the Sony PS5 Blu-Ray Edition ."
The category is 'Consoles', so the PS5 should be offered.
The PS5 is listed under the item features, so it should be that again.
Only in the text does it say that only the packaging is offered.
Either the provider was too stupid to use understandable German, or he deliberately expressed himself ambiguously.
You can always do that. It's unknown how eBay would decide in this case.
Clearly wrong category, I've reported it. 😎
I can't judge whether the seller intentionally placed the offer like this. In my opinion, the text in the offer is misleading and not informative. It's good that you reported it.
Mal sehen, was draus wird.
Ach, vielleicht wird er zivilrechtlich verklagt,. Dem Vogel gönne ich jedes Urteil:

Reviews are removed if no new positive ones are added within 12 months, which explains the terrible profile.
But you're right, transparency is something different.
Das sind nur die Bewertungen der letzten 12 Monate. Insgesamt gibt es 35 Bewertungen. 34 positive, eine negative.
It's about the percentage of 50% .
And eBay won’t be standing by much longer.
You know this one?
Well, it got 35 reviews, but the last one was bad.
By the way, I also find the way eBay displays the reviews bad. At first glance, you only see 7. After the username, there's 24, so he's received 24 reviews. If you click on 'all reviews received,' 35 are displayed.
eBay, what's that about?
With the terrible profile, this could break the VK’s neck:

The headline already says it's the packaging. Anyone willing to spend that much on it has only themselves to blame.
No. The headline also states that it's the PS5.
No, it says that this is the original packaging of the device.
Finally, one more specific note. The seller has listed the Playstation 5 empty box under the Playstation 5 console category. This is incorrect, as there is a separate section for empty boxes on eBay.
Regarding the first part, I agree with you that it was expressed that way intentionally.
I see it differently.
Yes, that would be perfect if it were written like that. But then people who can no longer understand, read, or write correctly wouldn't fall for it so easily.
We agree that the number is bad, but linguistically it is fine as it is and in no way implies that it is about the device itself.
If the packaging were meant, it would have to say 'Original packaging for PS5'.
That's not right. Terms need to be read in context. That's why I find it so difficult when everyone reads and writes only in short, choppy terms and with incorrect terminology. This way, language is no longer perceived correctly.
The seller here is taking advantage of exactly that.
If a PS5 were meant, it would say "in original packaging" or "originally packaged".
Correct. It also says that it's the PS5. It doesn't say what the connection is between the two terms.
