E Scooter has an unknown problem?

My e-scooter (Xiaomi Mi S1) has been experiencing a minor issue for about two weeks, and I've done a lot of research, but unfortunately haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause. So I wanted to ask here 🙂

First of all:

The e-scooter is just over two years old and was in perfect working order. About three weeks ago, I was unfortunately hit by a car, and the e-scooter's handlebars were grazed. However, I tested it, and it didn't fall over or sustain any other damage. Two days later, the e-scooter was left standing in slightly heavier rain for about two hours, but the display was completely waterproof at that point.

Now the current problem:

After the scooter had been usable normally for two days after the rain, I found it switched on in the garage the next day. I drove it normally but then I couldn't turn it off. I also couldn't switch between the different modes or turn on the lights. In other words, the e-scooter responded to the power button but responded to all other functions. I then replaced the dashboard, but that unfortunately didn't change anything. The problem persisted. In the meantime, switching between the modes, lights, and on and off became a wild clicking noise, but it was completely uncontrollable. I still drove it but it kept switching itself off when stationary. Now all of a sudden it won't start at all, but it responds to the charging cable and the rear light also lights up.

Is there such a thing as a loose connection? Have you experienced similar problems and think there's a way to fix it?
