Dynamo doesn't touch bicycle tires?

I'm trying everything to get my dynamo to spin on the tire, but unfortunately it doesn't work. My dynamo isn't attached tightly enough to the tire. It's lightly touching the tire but doesn't spin. To get the power flowing, I have to press it against the tire, but you can't ride a bike that way… Two days ago, it was working perfectly. What can I do? 🙁

Hello, here is one who still masters the high art of the side-runner-dynamo-optimization:

  • The bike's on. This must be nicely round in the middle, not shaking, should be well pumped up and should have an area for the roller of the dynamo, such small grooves that go around.
  • The roller should run perpendicularly on this surface, ie the inner axis of the dynamism is precisely at the center of the wheel. If she's only slightly sloping, she'll be loud and happy to stand.
  • Only when you check the wheel and the perfect alignment of the dynamism, you can take care of the necessary contact pressure. In fact, you can bend the holding arm a bit. But that may not be necessary if the dynamo sits well again. Unfortunately, he often does not do that because he can easily be pushed out of his position.
  • You got WD-40? With old dynamos that run loud, rough or no longer, it causes miracles.

You need a 10 key. Good luck! The side runner technique has never done anything, among other things, because you always have to readjust things. But with a little patience and concentration, you get them.

And it will be light… normally dynamism is relatively easy… if you don't want this to be the exchange that thing the cost no longer the world.

The design bends so that it presses sufficiently against the tire.
