No, the pilot must have a license for every plane. Usually pilots have only one license for a plane.

No. They could theoretically fly any plane, but each pilot must complete a license for each aircraft.

Contrary to the other answers, an individual type rating (Type rating) is not required for each appropriately classified aircraft.
The license is called ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) and is the basis for this type permission. This applies to military aircraft as well as to any civilian airliner.

Question: A military pilot could, after the end of his service period, make a type rating for an airliner and fly it.

This has nothing to do with, they wouldn’t get it without proper training.
