Diarrhea in pill urgently?
Hello, my question is very urgent… I just had runny diarrhea about an hour after taking my pill. I read that you should take a follow-up pill, but I don't have another blister pack at home… Should I just use an extra 7 days of contraception and then continue with the pill as usual tomorrow? I can't take a break now because this is only my third day of taking the pill after my last pill break… Is it bad if I continue with the pill as usual? Please help me, I'm getting a bit desperate 😅

If you obviously have another pill for tomorrow, you can also take one after… If you have a combination pill where the same active ingredient is in each pill, simply take the last pill from the blister now and then take the pill as usual. The protection is preserved. You then have a pill less in the blister logically, but that is no longer bad, you just go to the break at the end of the blister one day earlier and then start with the next blister logically again a day earlier.
If you don’t take the pill right now, the protection for the last 7 days is back-acting and you’d have to additionally prevent the next 7 days. So if you had sex without additional contraception in the last 7 days, a pregnancy would be possible.

It is best if you use the last pill of the blister, then you don’t get confused with the days. The pill break then begins with full protection around a day earlier. It may not last longer than 7 days. At the latest on the 8th day, you start taking again, regardless of whether you had a bleeding or whether it still stops.
