Already protected by a contraceptive ring?
Hey, I had sex with my boyfriend today and yesterday (without a condom).
This is the first time I've used the contraceptive ring without using hormonal contraception beforehand. It was out for a short time yesterday, which can last up to 3 hours. After 1.5 hours, I put it back in. I've been using the ring since last Friday, the first day of my period. So, 9 days have passed since today. Yesterday, it was 8 days.
Should I be worried about being pregnant now? It says online that if you use the ring for the first time on the first day of your period, you can use it without a condom. Only if you insert it on the third day of your period should you still use a condom. Is that true?
Worry? Yes? No?
Hello.
>>Do something? Yes?
You’ve done everything right and you’ve been protected. – Greetings, Imke =)
If you put the ring on the first day of your period, you were immediately protected from that time.
from the Nuvaring package leaflet:
“Let the first NuvaRing on the first day of your monthly cycle (i.e. on the first day of monthly bleeding). NuvaRing begins to work immediately. You don’t have to use other methods of contraception.
You can also enter NuvaRing on the days 2–5 of your monthly cycle. However, during the first seven days of the NuvaRing application you should also use another contraceptive (such as a condom) if you have intercourse.”
“If the ring was less than three hours outside the vagina, the contraceptive effect is not impaired. They should insert the ring as quickly as possible but at the latest within three hours.”

What’s in the package?
I mean, in principle, if you’re insecure if you can’t get pregnant, and you don’t want to, should you have sex?
I mean, there are other ways to get to the climax without penetration…
The first 5 days. How it is described
…and you want to remove it again and again?
Read and believe what it says.
That would be too risky.
