Dubaro graphics card different manufacturers?
Hello,
For example, at Dubaro, the graphics card is listed as 16GB NVIDIA RTX 4080 (any manufacturer). What does "any manufacturer" mean? If the graphics card is an NVIDIA, how can there be multiple manufacturers?
Thank you and kind regards
Alex
Only the chip and reference boards come from Nvidia. The card, unless it's a Founders Edition, comes from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Palit, and others. They take the Nvidia chip and put it on their own boards with their own coolers.
Mine is also a Palit with Nvidia chip
Nvidia primarily builds and develops the chips. Different manufacturers like MSI, Asus, or budget brands like Palit then install different cooling systems, vary the clock speed, and, most importantly, offer different warranty and support packages.
Personally, after years of experience, I would stay away from brands like Palit. I regularly repair graphics cards, etc. Palit is my main customer, so to speak. Asus and MSI are very good brands that know what they're doing. You can stick with them. Asus also places a lot of emphasis on bling, RGB lighting, and unusual designs, if that's important to you.
Because Nvidia also makes its chips available to others.
You probably know some, Palit, Gigabyte, Asus etc.
They then install what meets the spec and increases the margin.

Asus, Gigabyte, Msi, Zotac etc. sind damit gewmeint
Nvidia is just one chipset used by different manufacturers.
So they can also be from MSI, Palit etc.
