DSL speed slower than booked, who is to blame?

Hello,

I've had Vodafone's DSL 100 package for some time now, and since the increase from 50 to 100 Mbps, I've been dissatisfied with the performance. The picture of my Fritz!Box shows that the DSLAM is receiving over 116,000 kbit/s, but with the line capacity, it's only 68,534 kbit/s. The PC then receives a maximum of 59 Mbps (via LAN).

Why am I not getting the full performance?

Is it Vodafone's fault? The house (landlord) or my Fritz!Box?

?

Guilt is physics and ultimately you because you are Product information sheet did not read before the conclusion of the contract.

There is a minimum speed of 54 Mbit/s for such products.
Normally 87 Mbit/s should be available, but this is not a guarantee.

With such a line length (564 m), the values achieved by you are no wonder. I get a line capacity of 100024 kbit/s with 180 m “only”.

You can do nothing, the performance described by him is provided by the provider.

At least if you had the FritzBox before, the maximum line capacity was already apparent there.

Physics cannot be overwritten.

1&1 does not provide any circuit at all if they cannot comply with their own requirements.

The provider, but usually the speed is not guaranteed.

“school” is primarily in such cases always the physics. With such a line length, 59 MBit/s are completely normal.

No one can know what other factors in your network are to blame you for the 65 MBit/s. In any case, this is completely within the framework.

you can drive 200 km/h on your highway, but you bought a car that can only drive 100kmH. That’s why the Tolle highway doesn’t bring anything.

Here it is comparable exactly so from 50 to 100 nix does not make any difference, then I am from 100 to 250 high at my connection.

100 Mbit does not automatically mean double speed I was out of there mega.

Is it Vodafone? At the house (rent) or at my Fritz!Box

Can be so many.
