Drying without smell? (supplement)?
Hey this is my first question on this platform, I hope the question is not inappropriate.
So I have a gaming table in my room which has a gap at the back of about 55cm and 80cm wide, which I cover all over with black PVC wall covering so that no smell, light or gaps can be seen. The buds are in an airtight box with some paper on the walls. A total of three of these boxes, each with an 80g harvest, are hung up. Holes in the bottom of each box and activated carbon mats with activated carbon pellets on top, which allows the air to come out again with the help of a small directional fan. There is also a kind of tarpaulin so that it can be opened from below. There is also a small fan for air cycles, a thermostat for temperature display and a humidifier because the table is next to the heater.
(I should also mention that there is also a window so I can ventilate from time to time, but I cannot use an air conditioning system because it would be too expensive and too loud for me.)
To combat the smell, I also use activated charcoal bags, ONA odor neutralizer, and scented candles in the room. At the same time, my window is also tilted open during the drying phase.
and I think that it should be possible to achieve a top result without any smell or large equipment and that you can't smell it at all or only barely in the room.
What do you think is there a better way to improve things or rather not enough for the 99% without smell
Cannabis blossoms freed from branches, stems, large and medium leaves are dried in a simple 10-day process in a lower cabinet drawer that remains easily opened to ensure air exchange.
The Curing after cutting ensures that the time-consuming drying of these unnecessary plant components is eliminated and the typical taste of the terpenes and phenols contained in the buds can develop.
You look after the flowers once a day and turn and coat them carefully so that no mold nests can arise.
After these 10 days, all the flowers are filled loosely in screwable glasses (or Tupper-Ware) and opened in the morning and closed again in the evening. This procedure is repeated for at least one to two weeks. The purpose behind this is that the residual moisture contained in the flowers can migrate to the outside.
It is only after that that that smokeable quality is obtained because (scratch) chlorophyll is degraded.
I think that’ll smell, activated carbon is good, but that’s not enough. Cannabis smells extreme when drying.
An AKF on a fan as it would be used in grow rooms would make the smell disappear to 100%, but for that you need at least a box in the size of a moving skist.
Power and volume would be too high
