After switching to Windows 11, my HP printer only prints in black and white – I've already reinstalled it – what else should I try?

Do you have a Windows 11 update the drivers and you have to update the printer? Try it well.

If it does not work then the printer is simply too old and then it does not work then the software is locked.

With my printer, for example, the scanner is no longer because it is simply too old although the fax is still running.

Then it is simply blocked by the software because they want you to buy a new printer..

Print a test page.
In the pressure setting it is possible to adjust whether it only prints grayscales.

I just got Win10 here with a Canon

Here “Gray print”

Here, “Düsentest”, you can see if it still prints color.

Here for HP

“Print in Grayscale”

Did you connect it via WLAN or USB?

Is your model listed here

Remove incl. Did you start again?

That should’ve solved it.

I’m sorry. It’s a bit difficult if you don’t see it yourself.

Did that work with the removal?

You could try to plug it over USB if it is connected via WLAN.

Uninstalling would be important and then maybe point 4 of the list.

The problem seems to have a lot of customers. Google is full of it.

then try it. Then surely comes a dialogue – they really want to delete all drivers or so similar.

Did you uninstall the driver? That’s supposed to be very important.

– Press Win+R (the Windows logo button and the R button) on your keyboard to call the Run field.

– Enter devmgmt.msc.

-Click here to expand the category Printing queues. Right-click your printer and select Uninstall device.

-Click Uninstall.

Restart your PC and reinstall the drivers.
