Correction: Well, they may ask you for your PIN, you don’t have to answer. Supplement: a PIN or password protect only if a) the device is safe (so either file based or full disk encryption), b) the password is safe, so long enough and nowhere else (at least as clear text or unsalted hash). Face unlock and fingerprint are unfavorable, I’m sure you can think why.

Why should it cause problems? There is no law prohibiting images of drugs.
