Drive c: always full even though there is nothing on it?

Hi,

I keep getting the message that my PC is running out of storage space. When I checked, the C: drive (Seagate ST2000DM008 2TB) was almost full (419 GB). I went to the "Apps and Features" list and saw that I have about 125 programs, none of which are larger than 1 GB. The D: drive still has 1.79 TB of free space, but despite changing the "Change location for new content" setting, it's not being used. So my question is, how can I solve the problem or get new things to go to D: (the hard drive is built-in and not external)?

Thank you in advance

Download the free program "TreeSize", where you can choose the c: plate and get all the size shown and can delete from there what you want

Maybe Windows has created backups with its version upgrades (Windows.old folder). You can easily delete them in which you click on C: right-click and then clean. After that, select "clean system files" and simply delete everything.

the memory c: [..] was almost full (419 GB)

Have you ever done a disk cleaning and removed the old Windows update packages? The time will show a lot of storage space and will not be displayed in the apps….
