It is possible that DPD only accepts packages in EU countries. If you want to send something to Turkey, you need customs papers.

DHL only works for business customers with a corresponding agreement with some other providers.

Well, there are all EU countries listed. But Turkey is not part of the EU. That’s why I think you need much more than a sticker.
Possibly commercial bill, customs, merchandise slip. I’d call DPD again. Within the EU, however, it is more complicated than its border.

Why does Turkey not belong to Europe? Turkey is not part of the EU, but with some of the land mass is also in European territory!

However, it is primarily interested in shipping whether it is EU or not. This makes a huge difference

Yes, I meant the European Union. Russia is also partly in Europe.

Long speech, short sense, then a customs sticker comes to it (from the DPD) and the recipient has to take care of the customs.🤷 ♀️ ♀️

The aim of the Schengen Agreement is to strengthen the European internal market by abolishing border controls. This also makes it easier to transport goods within the Schengen countries. This is where DPD trucks and many other companies just drive over the border with hundreds of packages. There are traffic controls at most.

Correct. Only that the Schengen Agreement relates exclusively to personal checks and not directly to what is to be done with the EU.

For example, Britain was not a Schengen state when they were still in the EU. That’s why everyone was controlled there. Switzerland, on the other hand, is not in the EU – but still in the Schengen area, and it is usually possible to leave and enter without any ID checks

And Turkey is not part of the EU and does not fall under the Schengen Agreement. And this makes a package a bit more complicated. In the last sentence I wrote EU

Under the road is land. You have to enter the international zon for Turkey. 👀

Please find out on the homepage of the DPD whether you may need to place a customs declaration in the package. Since Turkey is not part of the EU, customs fees may be incurred for the recipient.
