Douglas acceptance refused?

I ordered a perfume from Douglas that I then decided I didn't want anymore. I therefore refused to accept it, and the package was supposedly returned to Douglas. However, I now have an invoice from them, and I suspect the package was stolen at DHL.

Who is responsible for this? Do I have to pay?

If you refused to accept the package and it was sent back to Douglas, you don’t have to pay as long as the package arrives with them. Here’s what you should do:

  1. Writing Douglas: Sign up with Douglas’ customer service and tell them you didn’t accept the package, but you still got an invoice.
  2. Check Tracking: Douglas should be able to track the show to see where the package is. If you have a tracking number, give them to check them out.
  3. Who’s liable?: If the package is lost on the go, the risk is usually at Douglas or the shipping service provider. You didn’t take it, so it’s not your problem.
  4. Explanation: If Douglas doesn’t get the package back, it could be that the bill remains open. Take care of them to cancel the bill.

In short, you should not have to pay if you rejected the package. Log in to Douglas to clarify this, and give them all the information on the return.

you do not have to pay

How do you get the interesting idea, you could simply choose whether you want to fulfil your contractual obligations or not?

because the creator wrote the following in a comment, “I communicated with Douglas and the service I wrote to refuse or return the acceptance.

I did.

and also I have already wanted to cancel it before it was sent, however, this is not possible with douglas”

So I see the contract for “resolved” and you?

Enter the recipient postcode and you will get accurate delivery information to the sender. Send a screenshot to Douglas and ask if the matter has done so. The package was obviously not stolen.

Addendum: I know the story, because I recommended you to refuse acceptance. You don’t have to pay. But for another reason, I am surprised that you get an invoice. You wrote these days that you already got a return sticker. If that’s true, the computer doesn’t charge Douglas anymore……very strange. But it will dissolve.

Then write to Douglas and ask for clarification.

This has nothing to do with me. Internet shops have a right of withdrawal of 14 days. If I refuse to accept it, that will be the same as a contradiction of the Treaty.

No

How do you think that a package from an online shop does not bear the transport risk?
The creator was afraid that it was stolen (sometimes he knows better) but still

Do not know the exact legal situation, but who orders something and then notices:

Hm I don’t want to have this in any case should have figures.

If you’re in contact with Douglas, why don’t you ask here?

It doesn’t matter…

I suspect the package was stolen at DHL.

Nonsense. The package was delivered to Douglas on 15th. Until it has reached its return department and your article is posted, it takes time, especially as it is still weekend.

For large customers of the DHL, such as Douglas, the packages are not delivered with a delivery agent. Their parcels come directly in the freight centre into a separate interchangeable bridge, and only when the full is completed, at the latest at a certain time a day, is the transport to Douglas.
That is why the delivery status is already in the freight center.

I guess I’ll get unnecessary stress.

The bill goes out automatically and has nothing to do with the refused acceptance.
But it also says that it was assigned to the “original sender”. For me, this looks normal.

you will have to pay

I therefore refused acceptance

that is not yet an effective revocation

what will happen – it lasts longer until you get the refund
