Double crown fork with YT Capra?

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I discovered a crack in the axle mount on my Fox Float 36 and am looking for a new fork for my YT Capra Carbon. In my opinion, a new fork is no longer worth it due to the price. My trusty 36 has been with me for about 4-5 years now, and I'm ready for something new. I recently had the opportunity to test out a bike with a double crown fork and thought it was fantastic! (Rock Shox Boxxer). For this reason, I've been really keen on those things lately :=). Of course, I also looked at downhill bikes, since they usually come with a double crown fork. However, I'm not a fan of the ergonomics at all, and I don't really get much use out of it. Besides, I'm in love with my Capra. I like everything about it. I did a bit of research and found people who had implemented my idea of a double crown fork on a Capra. (It looks really nice, in my opinion!). Regrettable

Unfortunately, no one has any information on whether it performs just as well. So I'm asking: Do you know if the frame of a Capra can handle this? Will it remain reasonably comfortable? Can it be used with a 170mm shock?

(I had also read that only the carbon had the possibility to install a double crown fork)

Maybe some of you have something similar.

I would be happy to receive answers! 😀

Double bridge fork may have a longer spring travel. Yours almost got this through the very far upwards head. And that's how you're gonna reduce your steering impact. More weight extra. Nostalgic would have a jumper over.🙈🙊🙉

Double bridges usually have over 200mm spring travel. The capra is an enduro with 160/170mm. Wouldn't recommend it because it changes the geometry extremely and so the frame can break faster. In addition, the guarantee is gone. Otherwise, look at YT to see if there's something about double bridges on the Capra
