Don't know what to do, puttying was messy from the start?
Hello, my daughter got two kittens at the end of June.
Unfortunately, we don't know how to get the kitten house trained.
She poops in the apartment from the beginning, but Pippi does it in the litter box.
The other kitten does everything in the litter box, so there are no problems at all.
We have tried all kinds of cat litter, from cheap to expensive.
We even tried with sand and earth
We also tried the litter boxes themselves: with a roof, without a roof, and larger ones.
Clean litter boxes as soon as a cat has been in them.
Nothing helps. We've already been to the vet and everything's fine—no parasites or worms.
My daughter is at her wit's end and has given up. She wants to find a home for them where they can go outside, since the cats are from a farm and one of them is probably used to doing her business outside.
We assume that this is because she either poops in front of the apartment door or in front of the balcony door.
What other options do we have?
I have cats too, always have, but something like this has never happened to me…

yes, giving away to a household where (safe) release is possible is a good thing. There, however, a partner animal should already live, so that the cat boy does not become lonely, because there too it has to stay inside for a while.
We know this in animal welfare: there are very rare cats that come inside not clear like a kind of “nangst” and these cats also make in front of the doors and windows (in your case balcony door).
Such cats then suffer in housing and need permanent release.
