Domain registry operator security relevant?

Hello, is the registry operator of a domain relevant for security? For example, are there differences between Radix (India) and Denic (Germany), etc.?

DENIC is a cooperative that has liabilities and must comply with international treaties. The two organisations are relatively the same, with government agencies more or less involved and websites can be turned off. In India, this is more common.

IT security is given to both organizations. There are also fallback levels, but this is not communicated openly.

It depends a little on what you understand. The integrity of your side is not at risk with such large and well regulated international companies. These companies do not have the same tasks, DENIC is for example only responsible for .de domains.

However, there can be regional differences, which and how easy data are published when someone asks WHOIS information. If you look at this potential circumcision in your privacy as a security risk, there are differences. However, in such concerns, so-called Whois Protection Services are simply used, which can be partly even booked free of charge with domain registrars and which protect you from public enquiries by entering their own data.
