Does this work if you add a non-powered hub to a powered hub as an extension?

Does it work if I connect a non-powered USB hub to a powered USB hub as an extension, or will the devices not be recognized?

The USB specifications that you can connect to Pro USB Port MAXIMAL 127 “DEVICES” and the used hubs are also counted as “Device”.

Therefore, it is irrelevant whether active or passive strokes are used with one another or with one another, the power supplies are then distributed over the entire USB ports.

If an active and a passive has a power supply with 5V 4 A (20 Watt), the voltage or Power supply to existing USB ports. If limit is reached, it can be (depending on the power supply) that it becomes too warm and can fail.

If the power supply is sufficient, everything is detected accordingly. If the power supply is insufficient, no detection can take place.

2 options.

  1. you supply every hub with a separate power source and make passive hubs active.
  2. Create a common power source for all hubs.

Or you reduce all your USB components to the most important and for each USB device a USB interface should be present on the motherboard, so that no stroke is necessary.
