Does the traction control in the BMW also intervene after cornering?
Good morning,
I just drove off the motorway in my E90 (model year 2008). On the exit I was still in 6th gear and just before the bend I shifted into 4th.
While braking, I entered the curve, and suddenly the car braked abruptly. It felt like it was braking on its own. At the exit of the curve, when the steering was already straight, the car was still braking abruptly. When pulling away from the traffic light immediately after the curve exit, I could barely muster any power because the car kept braking abruptly when accelerating. I pulled over briefly, checked the manual, and drove on to the next traffic light (just under 200 meters), but the car braked abruptly several times when pulling away. Only after pulling away from this traffic light did everything return to normal.
During the sudden and jerky braking, the traction control indicator light flashed orange, but only when the vehicle was actually braking. Since this happened at short intervals, I perceived it as flashing. However, since the indicator light went out after the braking, I assume it was only illuminated during the braking.
Can anyone help me?
The e90 series is known for the fact that the abs-rings are transmitted to the drive shaft and thus incorrect values are transmitted from the abs sensor (which is certainly already ground and must be replaced). The diagnosis in the workshop is not a big act. Parts are actually also relatively favorable. Working time will be the most expensive
Read out errors. Is a combination of ESP, ASR and ABS.
There must be an ABS sensor away
