Does the first name have to be on the mailbox/doorbell?

Hello, as you can see I wanted to ask if you really have to have your first name on your mailbox.

I live in a single-family home with my family (six people, all over 18). Until now, we've only had our last name on the mailbox, and we've had no problems with it. But now the delivery driver is saying that the last name isn't enough and that we should also include our first names.

For me it just doesn't make much sense because as if we really have to give 6 full names now, even if we are the only ones who live in this house?

Thank you in advance

If someone has a very severe abdominal pain because of his name on the door sign, he might also leave it completely. Here is an example of silane:

Hello

No cheese

Of course, it makes sense to use “John Doe H.” when there is the 2 times.

All surnames in the household should be on the bell. In addition to requiring first names, there is no need for a family house where there are no possibilities for confusion.

No.

You know that only the last name is on the bell.

That's what we do.

I think the parcel delivery has allowed a joke!

Legally you don't even have to write your last name on the sign – a number is enough! The last name is common in Germany!

We only have surnames… First names are unimportant…

The family name is sufficient on the ring of a detached house.
