Does the authorized representative have access to ALL my bank accounts?
I'm an adult, but my parents still have power of attorney over my savings bank account, and I can't change that. I want to open a new account that they can't control. Will they automatically have power of attorney over my new account if I open it? Does the power of attorney apply to just one account, or to all savings bank accounts in my name?
If you have a new account in one Other Bank opens, the existing authority at the Sparkasse is uninteresting.
This refers only to the account for which one has been issued.
Why can’t you change that? If you’re full-year, it’s your choice who has access to it.
Thanks for the answer. I can change it purely theoretically, but would not get any more money from my parents because they want to control everything.
In education or studies, you have the *right* that your parents need to support you
You can complain about a lawyer, you can’t complain about the law. But if you want to do this without their knowledge and want a second account, that is your good right. It’s not your private donation to tell you about it.
They don’t want to hear anything about it, they don’t care. They always act as if they were above the law…
If you are full-year, you can revoke a power of attorney at any time as long as you have no legal representative.

Once you’re full-year, you can revoke the authority for your parents. Otherwise you just have to open a new account and close this old one.
