Does my dog trust me?

M13

Hi, I think this is the best place. I have a problem. I have a long-haired chihuahua and I know that he actually feels comfortable with me. I've tried a lot of things and the result has been that he seeks protection with me. But when my grandma is here, for example, he's with me more when I get him and go to bed with him (he often sleeps with me). Sometimes he doesn't come, but not when I get him. And he really likes it when he's close to me, he usually lies on his head.

Sometimes I manage to carry him upstairs, but when I go up the stairs he gets scared, no idea why….

If you have any questions, please ask me. The problem is that he never comes to me when I'm watching a film or something. He's more likely to be with my parents than with me.

Please let the dog decide where to sleep and don't carry it unnecessarily through the area. Treat him as if he weighed 30 kilos and not more than 3 kilos. You can't force a dog's bond by carrying the dog somewhere. He probably trusts you, but he also needs time when he is alone in his dog bed or another family member.

And the breed is called Chihuahua.
