Does HDR help with games?

I currently have it enabled, and my image is grayish and the colors are rather pale. Or is HDR only useful for films, image processing, and video editing?

I usually turn out in games, sometimes even worsens FPS and increases unwanted latency. Great for movies.

Yes, if I turn on HDR, then the whole system is less colored. Full HDR colors can only be reproduced on supported HDR capable applications. Say: Your game also has to support HDR, otherwise I would rather get the HDR away your game that does not support.
