In the past, cough juices often contain codeine. Today, they also contain other active ingredients such as dextromethorphan, levodroproprizin, pentoxyverin, eibic root, dihydrocodeine, etc., in order to mention only once for cough-smoothing (ie no cough-dissolving) active ingredients. The active ingredient is actually to be read on any packaging, so you should also be able to read it on your package.

Of course there are still cough juices that still contain codeine today.
