Does epoxy warp/bend when curing?

Hello everyone.
I occasionally have the problem that the resin warps as it hardens. For example, coasters that I pour into a silicone mold warp, so that the coasters aren't straight; the edges, for example, bend upward.

I always mix and stir exactly as directed in the instructions. This is also the case with different manufacturers.

Why does the stuff warp and how can I avoid it?

I’ve got this more often than you say that the edges are higher then that’s almost slightly curved inwards.

I then always wait until it is cured and then “fill” again. Then it looks much more beautiful, e.g. with key tags etc.

In the case of “pure” polymers, i.e. without fillers, this is quite possible. You could use a filled epoxide, because the appearance is lower, or mechanically reprocess it, by turning, milling. After curing, there is no longer much.
