Do you ride when it rains?
Do you have any tips?
I go to two different stables. I ride one horse and just go for walks with the other. With the first horse, the owner always comes along because she has a second one, which isn't a bad thing in itself, but that way I learn to take on less responsibility. Two younger girls also ride…
Hello everyone, I used to be in the Hessian Pony State Squad and when I left I stopped wearing the crest at horse shows. Now, a riding stable in Berlin has given me a saddle pad and fly veil with the Berlin coat of arms, as well as a special coat of arms featuring the…
Hello, Where do such horse markets or similar events take place where horses are also raffled off? This means you buy tickets, there are one or more horses/foals and if you have the right ticket, you win this or one of them. Anita Girlitaiment (or something like that) has had several videos where she has…
I recently got a RB, a 20-year-old mare who lives alone with a 20-year-old gelding. The two have known each other for three years. Yesterday, I was supposed to lead the mare out of the gelding's sight, and when I was only five meters away from the pasture, he started screaming, galloping, and completely freaked…
if the horse is kept in a box, so theoretically If the horse is doing dressage, trail riding, lunging and free jumping, what should be done and how often per week? (leisure horse with sporting ambitions) Please don't judge me from this, I'm just asking theoretically
Hello, I have a new share of a Norwegian horse (18 years old). She has a slightly swayback and little muscle, especially on the left and right sides of her spine, but there's plenty of it in her hindquarters. It's noticeable that her locomotor system is very slow, and she doesn't take a single step…
Yes, at least on the grounds. Riding place is less fun in the rain.
That’s the pleasure and mood. Better when someone comes.
My Icelandic riding share loves rain, which is exactly their weather. Then she’s very twisted and funny. At the place it is not possible to do so, but in the case of the rain, it goes into the terrain (then rub dry). If it pours, she’ll have a day break.
Depends on the rain. If it’s additionally windy, then not. My horse then always tries to stand up against the wind so that the rain doesn’t sound like that. I can understand, but it’s a bit of annoying riding. But since we have neither hall nor space, I can’t always say that we do nix in rain. Otherwise the pony would have a lot of leisure 😂🤦🏽 ♀️
Sure. Raincoat, which also goes over the saddle and the crimp and loose.
We have two riding halls. Therefore I usually ride in rain and not in the rain. Unless it’s just a little sneaky rain, I’m gonna go out anyway.
Yes, with rain jacket and if it’s colder rain blanket. I haven’t tried rain pants yet, but I’m sure it’s not bad either.
Yes, go to the hall and have a rainproof jacket if you have to do anything outside a roof.
Yes; my two stand out all year round and for me there are jackets, I don’t bother with water. There’s no bad weather, just bad clothes.
Yes, either in the hall or in the grounds
Yeah, I’m always dressing up the raincoat from Krämer, and my horse still gets a rain blanket.
