Do you have video conferences for teaching?

We somehow don't, but we always hear from other students that they do it and that it is compulsory to participate

How about you? And do you have to have your camera and microphone on or not? I'd be interested.

Some, especially those of the main subjects, we have (Mathe, German, English, Bio and also in Latin). In older teachers, we do not have video conferencing, as well as in subjects where it is enough to do the tasks and ask questions as an e-mail (history, physics…).

Our video conferencing (as most in Germany) goes via BBB.

In German, participation is mandatory – there are epochal notes, which does not appear without a good reason gets even worse notes. In English and Latin (Same Teacher) participation is voluntary, but desirable. We develop grammar together or practice. You like to come with the teacher.

In math, however, participation is compulsory when there are conferences. Bio is more like additional volunteer participations than question round and preparation BLF.

The handling with the camera is different. Bio German and Mathematics without, English and Latin who likes with. By default, we are all presumed, but can let us “degenerate” and our spiritual delights run free. Many still write their solutions in the chat – the micro always does not go:( … ^^

I would also find more interesting how teachers here are the sound qualities! We always hear the fan of the laptop in German, and often also an echo from us. English and Latin as well as organic is acceptable as teachers sound good. In math, however, I often feel that my headphones fly around my ears every time they start. I guess her micro is implanted in her vocal cords, so overtaxed it sounds.

So we only have video conferencing for a single subject (chemistry) and we don't have to have the camera. Micro but stop saying something. We only get normal tasks for the remaining subjects.

Video conferences are mainly used only for meeting open questions

We have video conferencing for almost all subjects (except natural sciences) where you have to appear.

We have to show ourselves briefly at the beginning and then we can decide whether or not the camera is on. The micro is always mute unless you are taken.

Hi!

We only have video conferencing sometimes and only in certain subjects.

We don't have to turn on camera, and we're always supposed to turn out micro, so that the teacher can talk to them.

Whether it's mandatory or not the teachers decide, but so far I never had to use my camera. I just stuck scotch tape before and said she was broken 😅.

I'm lucky I don't have video conferencing as teaching.

Unfortunately. If there are still tasks to do so, they must deliver them in due time. I'd like to go back to the course.

PS: Only micro, camera is not mandatory.
