Do you have to be a qualified nurse to work night shifts in a nursing home?
Hello everyone, the question is already in the title. I'm just a nursing assistant, but I'd like to work nights. Do I have to be a qualified nurse for that, or is it okay without it? And maybe someone works night shifts and could tell me what's involved in the night shift 🙂
Thank you.
You may never work alone. A qualified professional must be present.
The homes I know, yes.
Specialist, sure. You're alone and have to decide.
You can't have an assistant do that.
But I have a training as a nursing assistant and can act accordingly. I have learned it, thank you very much for your answer 🙂
It is never acceptable to delegate responsibility like this to an assistant.
If there were several of you, somehow. But not just you.
A specialist and a few assistants.
Like a night shift in the hospital.
Not an assistant, no
And you are not left alone, you must not
