Do you have to be a qualified nurse to work night shifts in a nursing home?

Hello everyone, the question is already in the title. I'm just a nursing assistant, but I'd like to work nights. Do I have to be a qualified nurse for that, or is it okay without it? And maybe someone works night shifts and could tell me what's involved in the night shift 🙂

Thank you.

You may never work alone. A qualified professional must be present.

The homes I know, yes.

Specialist, sure. You're alone and have to decide.

You can't have an assistant do that.

It is never acceptable to delegate responsibility like this to an assistant.

If there were several of you, somehow. But not just you.

A specialist and a few assistants.

Like a night shift in the hospital.
