Do nerves still hurt after wisdom teeth surgery?

I had my wisdom tooth surgery yesterday. One of the wisdom teeth was pressing on the nerve, which caused me severe pain. After the surgery, the nerve pain went away. But when I woke up this morning, I felt it again. Just not as much as before. Is it normal for the nerves to still hurt after the wisdom tooth surgery? Or should I see my doctor?
