If you load down the Google Font and host yourself and don’t connect directly, it may be without. Otherwise, it definitely needs one if not even an active consent.

Without it, you can only operate the server yourself independently of the content and thus have no order processing/distribution of the IP to the hoster and also do not collect IPs in log files or even use cookies (apart from session cookies that may be technically necessary).

If you connect the font locally and you don’t have any external power, you can probably save a privacy policy.

If the font is loaded by the Google servers, not only is a declaration of data mandatory, it also has to run a Consent tool that blocks this traffic and usage until the Benuzer gives an explicit consent.
