Do I have to buy a reserved item on eBay?
A while ago, I reserved an item on eBay classifieds with a deposit. The person contacted me again, but I completely forgot about it. I just had to pay almost €400 to the vet for my dog, and because of that and something else, my account is well over €200 in the red. Now the person wants me to buy the item immediately, and I've offered them to keep the €10 deposit as an apology for not being able to buy the item, but they don't want that and want me to find/borrow money to buy the item.
Am I obligated to purchase the item? Or do I not have to?

Obviously you have a legally valid purchase contract. You’re going to be a contract. The seller can charge the money. (If he does, it’s another thing.)
But where is there a valid purchase contract? I asked the person to reserve it for a month with a deposit of 10€… That I can buy it 100% I never said what I wanted, of course… The person himself meant she had a lot of interested people meanwhile and I meant you to keep the deposit and sell the article to one of the other interested… She has not reported
A deposit is made only if you want to buy.
