Do fish/axolotls sometimes gasp for air?

So I noticed for 2 days that my
Axolotl gasps for air every 5-20 minutes, just like my fish (guppies)

Could it be due to a lack of oxygen? The water is also a bit yellow, and it looks a bit like there's dust in it. Should I do a water change right away? I'm not the best with aquariums and fish, so I could use a few tips. Thanks.

The water temperature of 22 degrees is rather critical for an axolotl over a longer period of time. I would first certainly see that the temperature reaches 20 degrees or ideally below 20 degrees.

Place pet bottles with pipe water into the aquarium and place a fan next to the aquqrium, so that the air is moving already. Also necessarily remove the lid of the aquarium if it has one. Otherwise, the warm air will be amazed.

Hope your axolotl recovers, otherwise maybe send a mushroom smear to Exomed.

with best regards

Axolotl and Guppys aren’t held together in the pool, and you should quickly measure your water values.
