Do devices send data/files to each other in any form?

Hello,

This is a strange question, but do different devices on the same network/WiFi send data/files to each other without you intending it? So, unintentionally? So do they communicate, or is each device independent as long as you don't do it yourself?

Thanks

That depends on what it is. Information can be exchanged with one another, of which the user (as long as he does not have a technical understanding) has nothing to do with. Example ARP or MDNS. However, these are data that contribute to the function of the network. Files (ie files from your laptop, for example) are not sent around in the network as easily.

No, why should they?
And if someone (eg a user on the laptop) tries to request data, the default will be blocked, no matter what device until you allow it or other apps that use it.

Send files no, but logically communicate devices in the network. This is thus provided and also technically necessary.

They only communicate when they are services or programs that the user has authorized to do so!

Communication always takes place in the network. Unless you turn off the network adapter.

Clearly, data exchange takes place on the network.
But without direct request of a data exchange, not between the devices, but only between the network router and the device, but this was not in demand here

No, not without you triggering it, like printing.
