Do DB tickets become more expensive if you buy them later?

Hey, I would like to book a train ticket to travel on June 23rd.

I've often heard that tickets become more expensive the later you buy them (e.g., on June 20th instead of today). Now I'm wondering, is that true?

I googled a bit but didn't find anything about it, so I'm hoping there's someone here with experience in this topic.

I thank you for any answer.

Depends on the type of ticket.

For low-price tickets in the long-distance traffic, the chance of cheap offers is often greater when booking in time.

Tickets for the flex price or offers at flat-rate prices (such as country tickets or cross-country tickets) do not matter.

Yes!

Book as early as possible!

I already had the case that I waited a day and because the second class was booked out the ticket cost 140€ instead of 50€.

And otherwise. The sooner you book the cheaper. In most cases, you can cancel the ticket to be required.

there are certain quotas of savings prices, etc., and if they are gone, you pay the “normal” expensive price.
The sooner you book, the better the chance to get a savings price ticket

Flexticket always costs the same, is for all trains on the day of travel.

Spare price is by train, you have to take the specially booked train.
