Do commas need to go there?

Do commas really need to be placed in A? So, B seems more correct. But theoretically, "for saving his daughter" is just an inserted subordinate clause, or am I wrong? Or are the commas placed completely wrong?

A) "In the passage of the second scene, John wishes to express his gratitude to the Templar for saving his daughter."

B) "In the passage of the second scene, John wishes to express his gratitude to the Templar for saving his daughter."

In B, I’d let a comma go.

There’s only one location description.

Even B is not correct.

There’s no comma in this sentence.

For me personally, the sentence is perfect without commas.Your drawing does not make sense or it is necessary.

That’s it.

In any case, B is “more correct” than A for me, because at B there are clearly too many commas, especially if there is no comma

Nevertheless, B is also wrong.

Okay, I would have done it the same as in B

No, it doesn’t belong to this sentence.

Neither A nor B is right. There’s no comma in that sentence.
