DJI drone "already tied to an existing account" what to do?

I recently bought a used DJI Mini 2, but when I try to link my account to the drone, it always says that the drone is already linked to an existing account. It's therefore still connected to the previous owner's account. What can I or the seller do to link the drone to my account? Or is it even necessary? The drone still has a one-year warranty.
