DJ splint in ureter?
Hello, I had a kidney operation last Monday and a 6 ml stone was removed.
I was at the same hospital the day before yesterday and wanted to make an appointment to have the splint removed (with general anesthesia), but the secretary laughed at me and said, "It takes a minute, and we don't offer general anesthesia for something like that."
I don't know what to do. I don't want to have the operation with an anesthetic injection because I've heard it's risky, etc.
and my urethra is quite narrow.
I would like to know if the operation can really be done without anesthesia.
Call again and let you connect to the urology. I had this regularly 3 years ago due to a constriction in the kidney ladder and was therefore operated more often (in the case of kidney colic) or also planned to change with general anesthesia. Until the constriction was found, by various investigations it took almost a year in which I was about. 10x was operated with rail removal, rail change and always with full anesthesia. When the problem was found, an appointment was made for a renal pool plastic, and again two weeks before, I had to be re-entered for a change because the urine from the kidney did not expire again and I had renal colic. Never been done without general anesthesia. The surgery takes just a few minutes and after about 45 minutes you’ll be awake again. Nevertheless, a general anesthesia is made because the change of the rail should be so painful.
Will you feel the pain when you get annoyed down there?
I don’t know. With me it was always done with full anesthesia and I had no pain in the intimate area when the rail was left or changed. I also have a cross-section (located in a wheelchair) and I have another thing.
This really takes just a second and is not very painful either. An anesthesia is not necessary. You would have to pay a general anesthesia yourself (about 600 euros).
Yes this took 1 second (without anesthesia without syringe) but very painful…
