Ah, Opera, there can be on the Tracker Block, maybe try to add an exception to Disney+ or turn it off.

The problem with the black screen on Windows 11 when you try to play a movie is not unusual and can have different causes. Here are some solutions that could help you:

1. Delete browser cache and cookies

If you are using Disney+ in the browser, an overloaded cache or incorrect cookies may cause problems. Delete the cache and cookies of your browser:

  • Open the Settings your browser.
  • Go to Data protection and security and choose Delete browser data.
  • Select Cookies and Intermediate pictures and files and click on Delete data.

Two. Update or change browser

Maybe there is a problem with your current browser. Make sure your browser is up to date. If the problem continues, try another browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge).

3. Disable hardware acceleration

Sometimes hardware acceleration can cause problems when playing streaming videos. How to disable them:

  • Open the Settings in your browser.
  • Go to System (at Chrome or Edge) and deactivate Hardware acceleration.
  • Restart the browser and try to replay the movie.

4. Adobe Flash and extensions

Disney+ usually does not use flash technology anymore, but if you have installed older extensions or plugins that support flash, they could cause conflict. Make sure Flash is disabled and no extensions block the stream.

Five. Update graphics driver

An outdated or faulty graphics driver can also lead to a black screen. Make sure your graphics driver is up to date:

  • Open the Device Manager.
  • Go to Graphic cards, right-click your graphics card and select Update driver.
  • Search for available updates and install them.

6. Use Disney+ app

If you use the Disney+ app for Windows 11, make sure it is up to date. You can also uninstall and reinstall the app to fix possible errors.

7. Windows Error Recovery

Sometimes Windows 11 itself can cause problems with streaming. Try the integrated Windows Error Recovery for apps:

  • Go to Settings > Update and Security > Correction of errors > Other bug fixes.
  • Select Windows Store apps and follow the instructions.

8. VPN or DNS problems

If you use a VPN or proxy, this may cause streaming problems. Try to disable the VPN or switch to another server. DNS problems could also affect the connection to Disney+. You could try the DNS settings Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

If these solutions do not fix the problem, it could be helpful to contact Disney+ directly, as there could also be server-side problems that affect the stream.
