Yes, the well-known scam is running like this:

You’ll get a real looking (but fake) message from Paypal that $3000 was transferred to you.
But before you can access the money, you need to transfer $50 to verify that you really are.
If you’re gonna get in there and pay $50, the scams are gonna laugh dead.
That’s it.
